A boundary-breaking dance celebration
ALL IN by Dance Makers Collective is a joyful, immersive celebration of dance featuring choreography by Miranda Wheen and music by award-winning composer Fiona Hill. In this mass dance work, three local dance schools perform alongside professional dancers across flamenco, hip-hop, Bharatanatyam and Dharug dance. Will you join them on the dancefloor afterwards for an all-in social dance?
The participating artists represent a cross-section of styles and communities, celebrating movement as a unifying force. Three local Newcastle dance schools, Ablaze Dance Academy, Midnight Dreaming Dance Co, and Chakras Performing Arts are joined by members of Dance Makers Collective, including Sydney favourites Samuel Beazley, Jana Castillo, Mitchell Christie, Eliza Cooper, Amy Flannery, Emma Harrison, Emma Riches & Ella Watson-Heath.
ALL IN is ultimately a celebration – a gathering in an increasingly divided world – reminding us that dance can connect us in ways few other things can. Witness some of the best dancing you’ve ever seen, up close and personal, and then take to the dancefloor with your own unique moves.
DANCE SCHOOLS
Ablaze Dance Academy is dedicated to providing young dancers with high-level training and performance opportunities, fostering community, confidence, and experience through collaborations with professional dance collectives and ensembles. Creativity and artistic expression are celebrated just as much as contemporary technique and athleticism.
Midnight Dreaming Dance Co is a First Nations-led contemporary and cultural dance collective featuring both emerging and experienced dancers. Led by proud Wiradjuri and Wongibon woman Renae Lamb, the company creates powerful, story-driven works that honour connections to Country and identity while exploring intergenerational cultures, practices, and resilience.
Chakras Performing Arts is a celebrated classical Indian dance academy where ancient tradition meets contemporary expression. Founded by pioneering choreographer Shrimati Savitri Naidoo, the academy nurtures performers of all levels – from beginners to advanced dancers – while celebrating movement in every piece, where every rhythm tells a story.

Founded in 2012, Dance Makers Collective (DMC) is an award-winning national leader in dance. DMC is the largest collective-led dance company in Australia (with 11 Co-Directors) and the only Creative Australia Four Year Funded dance company in NSW. With a mission to build dance communities, DMC unites people by working with and between dance theatre, contemporary dance, and social dance.
