AT SEA : Catapult Dance Choreographic Hub
As day slowly unfolds the Canoe Pool hosts AT SEA, a free 30‑minute dance work by Catapult Dance Choreographic Hub. Performed at the water’s edge, dancers move with tide, wind and sand to an original score by Zackari Watt. Each performance is shaped by place, with a public dance workshop to follow.
After the performance, audiences are invited to stay for a relaxed public dance workshop on the sand. Guided by the same ideas of flow and responsiveness, participants are encouraged to move with breath, gravity and landscape – no dance experience required.
Commissioned by New Annual for the 2026 festival.
The Canoe Pool is also host to a site responsive installation, created by and in connection with Izabela Pluta’s newest body of work CAVITATION, showing at The Lock-Up as part of New Annual.
