The great Romantic virtuoso, Frederic Chopin was an even greater introvert, preferring dark and smoky salons to the grand concert halls of Paris, and often performing his spectacular concertos in the private apartments of friends. In this spirit, Chopin’s spellbinding first Piano Concerto is performed in a raw and revealing arrangement for just ten musicians, unlocking surprising new emotive power and virtuosity.

Performed by Australian classical super-group, Omega Ensemble, this performance also includes Finnish composer Olli Mustonen's Nonet II, described by the composer as ‘instrumental ecstasy’, and a world premiere from Harry Sdraulig, an exciting new Australian voice who has quickly catapulted into one of the most in-demand composers of his generation.
