Bloom : MelissaLikesSushi

Bloom is an immersive, large-scale art installation that invites visitors to wander through an overflowing garden filled with characters and colorful foliage. Bloom encourages visitors to slow down and explore which is contrasted with the hustle and bustle of the busy mall that it lives in. 

"Originally showcased in Melbourne, Bloom now makes its debut at Charlestown Square, which I am so excited for! This exhibition is meant to invite visitors of all ages to discover and explore that childlike wonder within all of us. It has been such a joy watching Bloom come to life, and I am delighted to have a new audience interact with it!”, artist Melissa Mathieson.

Bloom is showing at Charlestown Square from Friday 11 September until Sunday 11 October. 

ABOUT THE ARTIST
California-based artist Melissa Mathieson (MelissaLikesSushi) is a 3D artist whose work is inspired by all things whimsical and nostalgic, creating bright bubbly characters and the world’s they live in. In addition to her client work, she has exhibited installations internationally, with showcases in Melbourne, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Toronto, and Montreal, bringing her joyful creative vision to audiences around the world.
