ABOUT THE ARTISTS
From the underground Hip hop/RnB scene of Western Sydney A.Girl has emerged into national recognition with a swag of raw talent, attention-grabbing moments of musical brilliance and a sing-rap style uniquely hers. Her live performances with her full band are a roller coaster ride of spitting bars, vocal virtuosity rarely seen by a rapper, and spoken word poetry that grabs your attention from the first line. A.Girl’s sound is rooted in r&b and soul but she also raps like a boss as showcased on acclaimed performances on triple j’s LIKE A VERSION, Bars Of Steel, and Red Bull 64 Bars which solidified herself as an MC with a unifying message ripe for the age we live in – celebrating cultural, racial & gender diversity with outspoken inclusion.
Finbar Stuart is a producer, multi-instrumentalist and artist hailing from Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains, 90 mins west of Sydney. Finbar is the secret sauce behind some of Australia’s most exciting R&B and hip hop talents. An artist in his own right, writing, recording, and performing everything himself, inspired by Bon Iver and Quincy Jones, Jordan Rakei and Mark Ronson.. his debut solo release is coming in 2025.
Descended from the Gugu Yalanji and Birrigubba people, as well as the Matabele of Zimbabwe, Dean Brady was born into a musical household — his parents were members of the legendary “outback Motown” group Banawurun, and he grew up with band rehearsals in the living room and his mother singing soul songs while cooking dinner. Dean’s Home — Brady’s forthcoming Mixtape out 31 October — is a warm, groove-soaked reflection on love, memory and identity, stitched together by the rising star’s unmistakable voice and soulful instincts.
Raised in Central Coast’s Terrigal, BOY SODA found an overflowing creative community in Sydney. His aptness for instrumental arrangement has thrown him ahead of the curve sonically and in his own words. Since the start of his career in 2019, and the release of his debut 2022 mixtape and EP— BOY SODA has become a fore-figure in the new wave of world-class Soul and R&B from Australian shores. Atop his soul-inspired sonics he explores the intricacies of love, identity in his Samoan heritage and his ideas on masculinity and femininity and what it means to straddle the line between the two.
