A kid with a camera. Two adults. No rehearsals. Just real reactions.
Prepare to be transformed by this uplifting and unpredictable show. Following seasons at Belvoir Theatre and RISING Festival, POV comes to New Annual. In a playful docu-drama that combines dark humour with emotional authenticity, 11 year old documentary filmmaker Bub, searches for the truth in the aftermath of her family breakdown.
Each night, a young performer works with two different, unrehearsed adult actors for the first time. As Bub guides these actors to re-enact her personal experiences, a story of love, mental health and the family bonds that hold and tie us unfolds. re:group performance collective invites you to witness something truly extraordinary—a live documentary that blurs the lines between personal history, performance, and pure human connection.
The cast changes each night: actors include Penelope Kentish, Johnny Carr, Jonny Hawkins and Lou Chapman – who will you get? Tickets are limited. Bring your parents, bring your teenager, bring your bestie.

"...a perfect example of why re:group is one of the most interesting theatre groups operating in Australia today" - Theatre Travels

POV is the latest experiment in onstage filmmaking from re:group performance collective. After indie flick (Coil) and sci-fi (UFO), this is re:group's version of a documentary: playful, urgent and live.

Don't miss the chance to join an intimate and hands on 2 hour workshop with leaders from the company - for those interested in acting, theatre making or learning new storytelling techniques.
