Ngiarrenumba Burrai (Our Country)
A space for cultural practice, conversation and knowledge-sharing drawing inspiration from Awabakal Country.
Ngiarrenumba Burrai (Our Country) will be home to a program of native food workshops, language workshops and knowledge sharing throughout the festival. Hosted at Ngumpi Kinyingarra Oyster House at Honeysuckle Marina at the corner of Workshop Way and Merewether St. Learn about Aborginal cultural practice, people and stories, while also learning about local oysters and saltwater practice.
Drop-ins welcome, registrations not required.
Recommended for all ages.

WET WEATHER CONTINGENCY
Ngiarrenumba Burrai (Our Country) workshops program of talks and workshops are hosted outdoors at 'Ngumpi Kinyingarra Oyster House' on Honeysuckle Marina. Due to limited cover, we recommend audiences bring raincoats and umbrellas in case of light rain. In the event of heavy rain, these workshops will be relocated to underneath the awning at the front of Newcastle Museum.

Weaving & Tool Making - Learn to make mini paper bark canoes, clapsticks, necklaces and bracelets to take home
Art - Highlighting the different Aboriginal art styles and where they come from.
