Menagerie : Curious Legends
Menagerie is a new, interactive community performance from Curious Legends, commissioned for New Annual 2022.
Throughout the festival, participants are invited to help Curious Legends create Menagerie. What kind of creature are you?
Across 4 making workshops, festival-goers of all ages are invited to help create our Gentle Giant - a towering, illuminated puppet with a pulsating heart. Participants from the Well performance will also work on a cumulative artwork that will form part of the giant.
On the last day of the festival, children and adults are invited to a final community celebration, where they form part of the Menagerie. Our Gentle Giant – resplendent with decorations and a new, luminescent skin – will join participants to lead the celebration in a sea of colourful chaos.
This is Menagerie - the audience immersed in life, light, sound, and colour!
