Experience the colours, sounds and tastes of our city as we celebrate the vibrant communities that call Newcastle home. Celebrate the heart and soul of our community at this free, family-friendly event on Beaumont Street in Hamilton.
Join our hosts Benjamin Law and Jennifer Wong for one big community party, with two stages for food demonstrations, live music, dance, and performances by Paco Lara, Minangay Dreaming and Samoan Dance.
Feel the rhythm with ILE ILU, a powerful collective of women drummers, horn players, and dancers from Sydney, the Central Coast, and Newcastle, led by Marina Da Silva. Their soul-stirring shows celebrate culture, rhythm, and women’s empowerment.
Don’t miss GabzaK & Dance of Worlds, where global instruments, hypnotic electronic soundscapes, and stunning choreography collide in a genre-defying performance.

COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS
Fans of MasterChef Australia will delight in live cooking demonstrations from previous contestants, including Novocastrian Depinder Chhibber, Cake Boi’s Reece Hignell, Good Food columnist Emelia Jackson, and social media darling Brendan Pang.

CULTURAL WORKSHOPS & MAKERS TENT
Throughout the event, drop by Luke Russell's Ngiarrenumba Burrai (Our Country) workshops focused on First Nations cultural practice of weaving, art and clap sticks. Drop by the makers tent to learn about art, henna tattoos and lantern making.

EAT STREET
Eat your way through the best of Beaumont Street! Gourmet food providers from around the globe will be offering delicious food on 'Eat Street' during the event, as well as sharing their tips with live cooking demonstrations.

Please note exact schedule timings are subject to change.

WET WEATHER CONTINGENCY
In the unlikely event of extreme weather impacting this event, news will be posted on social media and on this event page. We will also email all those who have registered for updates.
