EASEL’D is a month-long celebration of Newcastle’s legendary visual artists and our local businesses who support them. Over four weekends in September our artists will undertake mini artist-in-residencies at shops, bars and cafes in the CBD. 

EASEL'D ARTIST IN RESIDENCE | Saturday 23 Sept 4:00 - 7:00pm 
Follow our walking trail to meet the artists, watch them work, explore new shops, bars and cafes, and experience Newcastle through a creative lens. See Alanya van de Wiel at work @ Crystalbrook Kingsley,  KEOB @ Rascal Newcastle*, Mitch Berrigan @ Bartholemews*, Amanda O'Bryan @ The Lucky, James (Jimmy) Jenkins @ CIMS.

EASEL'D LIVE PAINT JAM  | Saturday 30 Sept 12:00pm - 4:00pm
Watch 20 artists in a live paint jam at Wheeler Place featuring Clare Whelk, Jordan Lucky, Lavinia Coluccio, Happy Sprays, Jade Burton, Quaide Pearce, Mariko Konno, Todd Burke Illustration, Dan Williams, Ashley Joy, Sophia Flegg, Lexie Worboys, Nick Fintan and more to be announced.

ARTIST TALK BY KEOB | Saturday 30 Sept 4:00pm - 4:30pm
Local street artist and First Nations artist KEOB will talk through his creative journey and art making processes. KEOB will share how he got started as an artist, what influences his work, the challenges of working as an artist, and what his art practice means to him.

As a father, mentor, artist… KEOB is a proud First Nations artist who mixes traditional art and graffiti with the beauty of Mother Earth and the power of culture. He blends graffiti writing, unique character work and culture to produce bold and recognisable artworks.
